Parkway Panthers @ Evangel Eagles

Parkway travels to Evangel this week to open district play. The Panthers are 3-0 on the young season after defeating Huntington last week. Evangel is 2-1 after winning their second straight game against Idabel (OK).

Parkway is led by quarterback Keondre Wudtee, a Louisiana Tech commit, and CJ Morgan, a Mississippi State commit, on offense and senior cornerback Lloyd Cole on defense.

Evangel is led by junior quarterback Connor Curry and Tennessee wide receiver commit Corey Henderson on offense. The Eagles defense is led by linebacker A.C. Gilliam and defensive lineman Jeremiah Houston.

The big matchup to watch in this game is how the Eagles defense, who has only given up 20 points through their first three games, can contain the explosive Panthers offense who averages 50 points through their first three contests.

Zachary Broncos @ Calvary Baptist Cavaliers

This big matchup will be featured on ESPNU, Friday night at 7 pm. The Broncos advanced to the 5A state semifinals last year and are 3-0 in 2015. Calvary Baptist has won the Division I state championship the last two years but are 1-2 so far this season.

Zachary is led by 2014 5A offensive player of the year, senior quarterback Lindsey Scott. Scott has thrown for 618 yards with eight touchdowns while rushing for 369 yards and five more touchdowns. Another offensive weapon is Terry Sullivan who has rushed for 359 yards and five touchdowns.

Calvary Baptist is led by senior quarterback Jake Bartley who thrown for 583 yards and six touchdowns through the first three games of the season. Another offensive weapon is junior wide receiver Kyle Jones has 178 receiving yards and two touchdowns so far this season.

Northwood Falcons @ Woodlawn Knights

The Falcons are 2-1 after defeating Richwood, 20-6, last Friday and travel to Independence Stadium this Friday to take the Woodlawn Knight who are also 2-1 after falling to Haughton, 43-30.

Northwood is led by athlete Marquez Stevenson, a University of Houston commit, who scored nine total touchdowns through the first three games of his senior season. Stevenson has over 100 rushing yards and over 300 receiving yards so far in 2015.

Woodlawn is led by sophomore running back Trivensky Mosley and senior quarterback Treveion Youngblood. Mosley has 421 rushing yards and eight touchdowns through the first three games of the season while Youngblood had 264 passing yards over the past two weeks. The senior quarterback also has over 100 rushing yards on the year.

If the Knights can slow down Stevenson and continue to score a lot points, Woodlawn should be able to come out with the win.
