Louisiana High School Football Week Three Preview

Calvary Baptist Cavaliers @ C.E. Byrd Yellow Jackets
Calvary Baptist is 1-1 on the young season after they lost to Teurlings Catholic on the road in Week 1 and then blew out Peabody in their home opener last Friday. Byrd is undefeated so far in 2015 after they blew out Barbe in Week 1 and squeaked past Longview (TX) in the Battle on the Border last Saturday night.

The matchup to watch in this game is to see how Calvary can stop the rushing attack of the Yellow Jackets as they have rushed for over 300 yards as a team in both their games this season.

Calvary Baptist quarterback Jake Bartley looks to put on another great performance as he threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns against Peabody.

Haughton Buccaneers @ Woodlawn Knights
Both teams are undefeated going into this big matchup. The 5A Buccaneers are getting ready for district play while the 4A Knights want to prove that they can contend in their district.

Haughton is led by their running back duo of Kei’untre Normandin and D’Kovin Ware. Ware had 101 rushing yards in the Buccaneers win last Friday over Minden.

Woodlawn is led by their senior quarterback Trevion Youngblood and star running back Trevinsky Mosley. Mosley has 362 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the Knights first two games.

Minden Crimson Tide @ North Webster Knights 
Minden is 1-1 in 2015 after winning their first game against Southwood and losing to Haughton in Week 2.  North Webster is 2-0 after defeating Haynesville in their first game and then shutting out Homer last Friday.

The Crimson Tide are led by their dual-threat quarterback Antonio Riverette. Another key player is running back Rodtravio Rodgers.

North Webster is led by their 6’1”, 258 pound, running back Devin White. White has multiple touchdowns in both of his games so far this season. The Division-I prospect has offers from all around the nation including LSU and Arkansas.
