Mason Welch led the Northwood Falcons to a 9-3 record in 2021 as the junior gunslinger threw for 2,100 yards and 21 touchdowns. After the season, Welch was named First Team All-District and All-State Honorable Mention.

This Class of 2023 recruit currently holds two college offers and is receiving interest from numerous other colleges including New Mexico State and Baylor.

Welch has a strong arm to make throws all over the field and has a good football IQ. He has a keen eye to read defenses and make changes before the snap.

In his final season at Northwood, Welch has plans to build off his performance in 2021 by having another monster season in 2022 and leading his team to a state championship.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Mason to talk about his junior season, his preparations for his senior campaign and get an update on his recruiting process.
