LSU Gains Commitment from 4-Star Texas CB Kary Vincent

Sunday night, the LSU fan base received good news during the Tigers’ Picnic when four-star Texas cornerback Kary Vincent released his commitment video.

Vincent and those close to him already knew he was heading to Baton Rouge as part of the 2017 class, but the general public had to wait for the good news. The Memorial High School star was one of the more highly recruited players in the nation securing 30-plus reported scholarship offers. The list of offers reads like a who’s who of college football with Alabama, Georgia, Michigan State, Florida State, Florida, Arkansas, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Houston, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Penn State, and Texas being among the many hoping to land Vincent.

Colleges were sold on Vincent’s shutdown corner skills after he amassed 51 tackles with five interceptions during his junior season.

The Tigers 2017 class continues to get stronger and stronger. Rivals has pushed LSU up to No. 3 in the nation after Vincent’s commitment. The class has five-star recruit Tyler Shelvin and nine players ranked as four-stars including Vincent.
