The Tigers have built a reputation for having great defensive linemen over the years. Head coach Barry Odom added to more potential candidates to help carry the torch forward in junior recruits Nate Anderson and Rashad Brandon.

Brandon was the first to commit, pledging to the Tigers on Saturday. The former St. Anthony High School star (NJ) grew into a force on the field with ASA College. The 6-2, 215 pound, defensive tackle committed to the Tigers during his official visit over the weekend. Brandon also had offers from Temple, Idaho, Marshall, UAB, and Ole Miss.

Missouri appears to have kept Brandon away from Oklahoma as well. An official visit was initially set up for Brandon to visit Norman over the weekend but a change of heart led him to Columbia.

Anderson is the prototypical strong-side defensive end coming in at 6-3, 255. The former Prattville (AL) talent tore it up with New Mexico Military Institute this season pulling in offers from San Diego State, South Florida, Idaho, and Central Florida before committing to the Tigers on Sunday.

Anderson had a big sophomore season at NMMI coming up with 31 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, and five sacks.

After a couple of months of idle activity on the recruiting trail. Missouri is picking up momentum since Nov. 13 landing defensive end Chris Turner, four-star cornerback Terry Petry, Brandon, and Anderson.

Missouri has the No. 38 ranked class in the country per 247Sports, No. 12 overall in the SEC. Rivals sees the Tigers haul at No. 40 with two four-star recruits and 11 three-star prospects.
