In one of the most anticipated matchups of the weekend, the undefeated Fort Osage Indians traveled north of Kansas City to take on the Staley Falcons who were also undefeated.

Staley got out to a quick 14-0 lead after quarterback Michael Kilpatrick connected with Connor McCullough on a 19-yard pass play and on their next drive Julian Ross scored on a 10-yard drive.

Fort Osage got on the scoreboard 17 seconds into the third quarter when linebacker Jonah Tuimaseve intercepted a Staley pass and ran it back 34-yards to make it 14-6. Later in the third quarter, senior Skylar Thompson led the Indians on a 94 yard drive to tie the game at 14. Thompson hooked up with Donte Dodson on a 24-yard pass play then threw a pass to Isaiah Iloilo for the two point conversion.

Fort Osage’s junior kicker Kegan Lammering nailed a 24-yard field goal to give the Indians the win after Staley missed a 33-yard field goal.
