Missouri High School Football Recap Aug. 21, 2015
Blue Springs 0 @ Staley 35
For the first time in three years, Staley won their home opener. The victory also gave Head Coach Fred Bouchard his 200th career win. The Falcons gained the ultimate momentum in the second quarter when Blue Spring fumbled deep in Staley territory. Several plays later when the Falcons were facing 3rd-and-1 from their 10 yard line, senior running back Faizol Bouchard ran through the Blue Springs defense for a 90-yard touchdown.

Staley easily controlled the rest of the game and cruised to victory. Blue Springs hosts Fort Osage next week while Staley travels to Raymore-Peculiar.

Truman 0 @ Lee’s Summit 33
QB Dalton Hill easily was the MVP in the Tigers opening game win. Hill connected with wide receiver Delshawn Presley for two 15-yard touchdown passes and had two rushing touchdowns to route the Patriots.

The fifth touchdown was scored after Lee’s Summit Zach Mitchell blocked a punt and ran it into the end zone.

Next week: Lee’s Summit hosts Hickman while Truman is on the road against Raytown South.

Carthage 0 @ Webb City 31
The Cardinals shutout Carthage to win their 29th straight game and are now 74-1 since the start of the 2010 season. Webb City is coming off their fifth straight championship season and is on track to win number six.

Running back Kaleb Potts led the Cardinals with two rushing touchdowns. The Cardinals easily controlled the ball throughout game. Next week, Webb City hosts 6A perennial powerhouse Rockhurst which will easily be one of the best football games next weekend. Carthage travels to St. Joseph, Missouri to face Lafayette.
