Rockhurst 20 at Webb City 49
In a highly anticipated match-up, Webb City proved why they’re the kings of high school football in Missouri Class 4. The Cardinals cruised to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. After Rockhurst made it 21-14 early in the second quarter, the Webb City defense locked them down and never let them get within two scores.

A.J. Taylor was the bright spot for the Rockhurst offense as he had caught a touchdown pass and ran for another score.

Webb City quarterback Tyson Roderique threw for three touchdowns and had 260 yards of total offense.

Next week, Webb City travels to Springdale, Arkansas to face Har-Ber while Rockhurst hosts Bentonville (Arkansas).

Blue Springs 16 at Fort Osage 30
Blue Springs had a slim lead in the second half as the Wildcats were looking for their first win of the young season. Unfortunately, Fort Osage’s senior quarterback Skylar Thompson had other ideas.

Skylar Thompson was the MVP of the game as he led his Indians team to a two touchdown victory. The senior leader completed 9-of-10 passes for 156 yards and also rushed for 43 yards. Thompson accounted for all Osage’s touchdowns as he ran for two and threw for two more.

Fort Osage hosts Lee’s Summit next week while Blue Springs has their rivalry game against Blue Springs South.

Staley 35 at Raymore-Peculiar 10
Staley, a Class 5 school has rolled over two Class 6 schools to open the 2015 season. One major part of this early season success has been the play of their defense. The Falcons forced five turnovers in the first half to open up a 16-0 halftime lead. Ray-Pec’s offense didn’t score any points until there was less than two minutes left in the game.

Staley running back Faizol Bouchard led the Falcons offensive attack finishing with three rushing touchdowns. Quarterback Michael Kilpatrick also added a rushing touchdown.
Raymore-Peculiar will travel to Liberty in Week Three while Staley hosts William Chrisman.
