The state of Texas produces a lot of top talent at all positions every year, especially along the offensive line. On Thursday, the Missouri Tigers went into DeSoto to get rising star Hyrin White.

White helped open holes and kept Class of 2016 dual-threat quarterback Tristen Wallace’s jersey clean in the pocket last season. Wallace (Oregon) passed for over 2,100 yards with 12 touchdowns and ran for over 1,400 yards with 16 additional scores. White also helped open holes for all-purpose senior running back La’Darren Brown (Oklahoma State).

Colleges liked the emerging talent White displayed on the field as a junior seeing interest turn into offers. White had early offers from SMU and Arizona State and then saw his recruitment take off with offers extended from UCLA, Colorado, North Texas, Tulsa, Nevada, and Oklahoma State.

The Tigers offered White on Feb. 3 flipping a November announcement from the 6’7”, 290 pound, tackle that Oklahoma State was his leading school. White made his commitment public via Twitter posting, “I’m extremely blessed for everyone that took the time out to recognize me and also took the time to put me through the recruitment process. But as me and my family discuss my future for my college education and football career. I will be attending The University of Missouri #MizzouMade.”

White is the second verbal commitment for the Tigers in the 2017 recruiting class. On Nov. 16, Missouri landed 4-star athlete Daron Davis out of Kansas City.
