The Tigers made up ground in a hurry with their 2017 recruiting class securing verbal pledges from five players from Saturday to Tuesday. The class got a bump from guard Larry Borom and wide receiver Roderick Ford on Saturday followed by linebackers Jamal Brooks and Aubrey Miller along with offensive tackle Case Cook on Tuesday.

Missouri’s 2017 recruiting class had been essentially dormant until June when the trail started heating up for the Tigers. Head coach Barry Odom and staff had three commitments entering June in Daron Davis, Hyrin White, and Pompey Coleman but picked up some momentum in Logan Christopherson and Jafar Armstrong as the off-season camp circuit got going.

Nine of Missouri’s commitments are rated as three-star recruits by 247Sports with Davis being the lone four-star on the list. Case Cook was one of the more highly recruited players in the bunch with 24 reported offers.

Missouri’s staff has shown a willingness to recruit outside normal regional or SEC comfort zones. Two recruits are from Texas, but the rest are all from different states with pledges from Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
