The Tennessee Volunteers took the first step forward towards a long recruiting process over the weekend landing their first verbal commitment to the 2017 recruiting class in De’Morreal “Mo” Burnam.

The Salem High School (Conyers) star was seeing his recruiting stock jump up with offers extended from Cincinnati, Louisville, and South Florida before making his commitment to Tennessee. Burnam was attending the Volunteers Junior Day on Saturday posting his announcement Saturday night on Twitter stating, “Blessed to [sic] that I am a Tennessee Volunteer #VFL.”

Burnam was part of a 5-5 Seminoles team in 2015 showcasing his skills at outside linebacker. The 6’3”, 218 pound, talent was tough against the run, able to drop back into coverage to defend the pass, and able to rush off the end putting pressure on opposing Georgia quarterbacks.
