When Gavin Sealscott packed up for the July 29 Southern Exposure Camp in Georgia, he left Kenton (Ohio) on a mission – mission accomplished. The Kenton Middle School eighth grader left the Peach State earning Middle School Offensive MVP.

Back in Ohio, the Wildcats use their rising star in all three phases of the game.

“This year I am playing receiver, safety, A-back, and I’m returning punts,” Sealscott said.

Sealscott spoke about the offensive and defensive schemes the Wildcats will execute this fall.

“We are a passing offense running a Spread,” Sealscott stated. “In the secondary, we run zone.”

Before picking up camp honors, Sealscott had been in prep mode all summer.

“I’ve been working on my route running and catching,” Sealscott shared. “On defense, I’ve been working on reading the quarterback and flipping my hips. This summer I have been working on a little bit of everything.”

The hundreds of miles traveled for the camp brought the exposure.

“It went well,” Sealscott said. ” I got offensive MVP.”

Sealscott continued giving a snippet of his actions at the camp, “I showcased my running, catching, and my route running. We ran 40s, routes against the DBs, and we did cone drills.”
