Oklahoma Adds Florida 3-Star LB K’Jakyre Daley to 2017 Class

The Sooners are heating up the recruiting trail again getting their second verbal commitment in the month of October on Friday securing outside linebacker/defensive end K’Jakyre Daley.

Daley has been a force for gritty Suncoast High School. The Chargers have been challenged against Florida 5A talent but their 6-3, 220 pound, defensive talent has stood out.

College coaches have made the trek to the West Palm Beach/Riviera Beach area to see Daley. Daley is in the neighborhood of 20 reported scholarship offers with teams like Wisconsin, Norte Dame, Iowa State, Kentucky, South Florida, Syracuse, FAU, Arizona, Mississippi State, Central Florida, Louisville, and Tennessee extending offers.

Daley took an official visit to Iowa State on Sept. 2 and then headed to Norman on Sept. 17. Sooner fans found out the good news nationwide via Twitter with a post reading, “Norman just got a Destroyer added to the squad.” The commitment was followed by a statement:

The Sooners have the No. 5 overall ranked 2017 recruiting class, per 247Sports, No. 3 overall per Rivals, tops in the Big 12.
