Oklahoma Adds Texas 3-Star OLB Kenneth Murray to 2017 Class

The recruiting trail is lining up nicely for the Sooners landing one top target after another. On Wednesday, Oklahoma added their 18th verbal commitment to the 2017 recruiting class landing Texas three-star outside linebacker Kenneth Murray.
Murray helped Fort Bend Elkins to an 8-3 record in 2015 playing against Texas 5A talent. The Knights standout defender came up with 56 tackles, 37 solo, nine tackles for a loss, a sack, picked up a fumble, and defended four passes during his junior campaign.
The summer months helped boost Murray’s recruiting value with teams like Texas, Ole Miss, Missouri, Arizona, Washington State, and Nebraska all offering. The 6-2, 210 pounder, has 23 total scholarships offered with teams like Cal, Houston, Indiana, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona State, and Texas A&M also hoping to add Murray to their recruiting class.
Murray had a final three of Texas A&M, Texas, and Oklahoma making his announcement live from his high school library.
The Sooners staff has done a great job of adding talent throughout the off-season, especially on offense. Of the 18 commits, at least 10 are slated to help score the ball once in Norman. Expect another offensive lineman, a couple of defensive tackles, a defensive end, and perhaps another safety to fill in the class before the staff limits accepted offers to top players available.
