When the 2014 high school football season had come to a close, Santa Fe High School safety Calvin Bundage had made a name for himself in recruiting circles across the nation. The 6’3”, 200 pound, head hunter came up with at least 81 tackles, 57 solo, 2 tackles for a loss, a sack, a quarterback hurry, a pass deflection, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble, perhaps more but the game stats from a year ago might be incomplete.

Regardless of the stat line, teams like Arkansas, TCU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Louisville, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Houston and Oregon have all extended offers.

Bundage’s 2015 season has started off hot coming up with 18 tackles through two games with two tackles for a loss, and a sack. The Wolves are 2-1 thus far, stats for Game 3 have not been released yet, coming off a tough 34-31 loss to Southmoore on Sept. 18.

Recruiting for Bundage is still wide open. Only Oregon has landed a known official visit date. Arkansas was set to host him on an unofficial for the Texas Tech game but that visit was rescheduled for a later date.

In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I sat down with Calvin to get a quick overview on his season to date and received a quick recruiting update.
