The Oklahoma Sooners had a big Sunday landing two Texas wide receivers in Charleston Rambo and Jalen Reagor.

The Sooners can do no wrong with either Rambo or Reagor. Reagor had an outstanding junior season for Waxahachie High School pulling down 64 passes for 1,108 yards with 13 touchdowns. The former Texas Tech commit has seen his recruiting status skyrocket in March landing offers from Alabama, Oregon, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Notre Dame. The Sooners offered the 5’11”, 182 pound, talent on March 9. On March 10, Reagor decommitted from the Red Raiders visiting Norman over the weekend. Other teams extending an offer to Reagor includes Arkansas, Cal, Florida State, Kansas, Colorado, Texas A&M, SMU, Washington, and Missouri.

Rambo has been one of the more highly sought after wide receivers in the 2017 class pushing 30 scholarship offers. Rambo was the District 11-5A Offensive Sophomore of the Year playing for Dallas Woodrow Wilson High School. In 2015, Rambo transferred to Cedar Hill High School coming up with 23 recepetions for 426 yards with four scores through seven games.

The Sooners have been high on Rambo with the attention being returned. OU hosted Rambo for a Junior Day on Jan. 30 and on Feb. 13.

Rambo posted his commitment on Twitter to the delight of Sooners’ fans but with a bit of a twist. Part of the post read, “After endless prayers, and talking with my family and coaches, I have decided to verbally commit to The University of Oklahoma!! (I will still be taking unofficial and official trips) #BoomerSooner #SoonerSquad17.”

The Sooners now have 11 verbal commitments to their 2017 recruiting class taking six players out of the Lone Star State.
