Oklahoma State has parlayed an undefeated record and a Top 10 ranking into success on the recruiting trail landing two recruits on Tuesday. The Cowboys welcomed in-state offensive lineman Tyler Brown and got quarterback/wide receiver Tyrell Alexander back into the fold.

Alexander jumped on the recruiting scene during his junior season as a dual-threat quarterback passing for 719 yards while running for 1,147 tallying 17 total touchdowns. The 6’3”, 185 pound, athlete has picked up offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, West Virginia, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Iowa State, TCU, and Tennessee among others along the way. Over the summer the Lancaster High School (Lancaster, TX) standout decommitted from Oklahoma State after committing to the Cowboys in mid-April.

Brown is another big get for OSU keeping him away from programs like Arizona State, Missouri, Memphis, Utah State, TCU, Illinois, and Arkansas State. Brown, much like Alexander, was committed to another school in the spring but flipped choosing to land in Stillwater for his college ball. The in-state Lexington High School lineman visited OSU in late April but by May 31 had committed to TCU. The OSU staff did not give up on Brown landing him on Nov. 17. Brown is a Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl selection.

The Cowboys now have 18 verbal commitments to their 2016 recruiting class with an early emphasis on the secondary, with four commitments, and offensive line, with five commitments.
