Oklahoma State Nets Fourth 2017 WR with Shamond Greenwood

Oklahoma State continued to put a heavy emphasis at the wide receiver position for their 2017 recruiting class adding Texas talent Shamond Greenwood on Tuesday.
Greenwood has the physical tools to be a dominating force at the collegiate level. Listed at 6’3”, 195 to 205 pounds, with a reported 40-yard dash time of 4.43, the Cowboys could have a steal from the 2017 class on their hands. Complete stats were not posted, but through three games during his junior season, Greenwood had 11 receptions for 189 yards with three scores for Lakeview Centennial High School.
Oklahoma State battled 12 other programs for Greenwood’s commitment. Some of the other schools seeking his talents included Iowa, Mississippi State, UTSA, San Diego State, Kansas, Colorado State, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Utah. Greenwood’s commitment went public via Twitter with a post reading, “Excited to say that I have committed to Oklahoma State University.”
The Cowboys recruiting class is now at 18 commitments. Greenwood is the thirteenth commitment out of the Lone Star State.
