Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze has found a replacement for sure to-be departing left tackle Laremy Tunsil with the verbal commitment of Gregory Little on Wednesday.

Little, listed at 6’5.5”, 300 pounds, is as big of a recruiting win for Ole Miss as any other school in the SEC could want at this point in the recruiting process. College coaches love Little’s size, technique, raw power, and quickness with all most everyone agreeing that he has the potential to be an All-American candidate as he progresses through the years and physically matures.

The win for Ole Miss is a huge loss for Texas A&M. Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin is now in an awkward situation after losing 2014 starting quarterback Kenny Hill, transferred to TCU, and 2015 starting quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray, both have asked for a release from their scholarships. The easy assumption is Murray’s unhappiness in College Station played a part in Little going to Oxford, Little and Murray were teammates at Allen High School. Murray won three state championships as the starting quarterback for Allen High School never losing a game.

Little is in the neighborhood of 30 scholarship offers taking official visits to Auburn (Sept. 26), Georgia (Oct. 3) LSU (Oct. 17), and Alabama (Nov. 7). Little decommitted from Texas A&M on July 13.

The Rebels have moved up the recruiting rankings with Little’s verbal commitment. The future is bright in Oxford with 5-star quarterback Shea Patterson (IMG Academy), 4-star receiver (DeKaylin Metcalf (Oxford), 4-star OL Bryce Matthews, and 4-star RB Justin Connor all coming in on the offensive side of the ball.
