Out in Conyers (Ga.) there is a 2024 running back ready to impress when the Friday night lights turn on this fall. The Heritage High School starting tailback position has been won by A’von Findley. Knowing he has at least 10 games to showcase his skills to college coaches, he’s ready to turn in the best season possible for next level evaluators and for his Patriots’ teammates.

The Patriots’ offense will spread out opposing defenses with Findley ready to find the lanes to the second level.

“Sometimes we run trips, and sometimes we run spread,” Findley said. “With our running plays, we work inside-out. We go with our inside plays first, see if it opens, and then we go outside.”

Training for the opportunity this fall has been ongoing this offseason.

“I have mostly been working on my speed, running with the parachutes, and I hit the ladders for my agility” Findley stated. “I am doing extra training every Saturday.”

Appearing in four games for the Patriots last season, Findley produced 95 yards with a touchdown off 22 carries. From last year’s output and his spring workouts, West Georgia, LaGrange, and Nicholls State are among the teams showing interest.

On June 3, Findley will compete at Mercer’s mega camp with more college camps to be added.
