When the 2017 season kicked off, Class of 2020 receiver Jasiah Snow-Marshall got a good taste of 3A Washington varsity football. The 6-2, 195-pound, athlete contributed to the Lincoln High School’s offense pulling down 11 passes for 150 yards with two scores posted on the board. The role on offense for the Tacoma area talent will increase during his junior season with added responsibilities on defense at nickel and corner. Word is getting out on the recruiting trail on Snow with in-state powers Washington, Eastern Washington, and Washington State, among others, tracking his progress.

Ahead of a potential breakout season for Snow, I sat down with the three-star rated recruit (247Sports) for a quick Q&A covering his offseason workouts.

Interview

Jasiah, how did your sophomore season go on the field?

“I think it went well, but I think I could have done better.”

Which areas of your game saw the most improvement?

“My biggest improvement was effort. I gave 100 percent effort on every play. My route running got a lot better; it has certainly gotten a lot better this offseason.”

Other than your route running, what else have you been working on this offseason as a receiver?

“This offseason I have been working on getting a connection with my quarterback. I’ve been working a lot on my speed and strength.”

Did you play 7v7 ball this spring?

“Yes. I played with Tacoma Attack.”

How did playing 7v7 help improve your overall game?

“It helped me reading coverages and helped my QB and I build an even better connection. We know what we are going to do in each situation.”

How did spring practices with the Abes go?

“Our spring practices went well. I think we will be good this year; we have a lot of returners coming back.”

Where all will you line up on the field in 2018 with Lincoln?

“I am playing slot and some on defense at nickelback and at corner.”

Did you get a chance to showcase your skills at any camps this offseason?

“Not yet, but I have one coming up on July 28th, a Washington State camp.”

Which schools are showing recruiting interest in you?

“Eastern Washington, Washington State, Northern Arizona, and UDUB (Washington).”

Have you taken any unofficial visits yet?

“I visited Washington State for a Junior Day.”

How did that visit go?

“It went well. I talked to a lot of coaches and saw their weight room; it was a good visit.”

Do you have any planned visits coming up?

“I might take a visit to Washington State again, but nothing is planned out yet.”

What is your focus for the rest of the summer before the season kicks off?

“My focus is on getting as fast and strong as possible. I am focused on learning the offense the best I can before the season starts.”

What goals have you set for the 2018 season?

“My personal goal is to help my team win a state championship.”

Jasiah, thanks for your time today and good luck with the rest of your offseason workouts.

“Thank you.”
