Football fans wanting to know how well their favorite Pac-12 team will do on the gridiron in the near future need not hand over money to a mystic but save their pennies by evaluating how well their team’s recruiting class did against the rest of the conference. While many top recruits will bust and many three-star talents will rise to be among the best of the best, the rankings offer an insight to which teams are acquiring top talent on the recruiting trail that proves to translate to success on the field more times than not.

The Pac-12 overall consensus, USC did very well as did Stanford even with a limited number of scholarships to give. If the average star ranking is taken into account, the Cardinal (3.93) beat out USC (3.71) but the Trojans signed more recruits than Stanford giving them the edge. In the national rankings, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, and Washington were bunched up near one another.

Viewing top talent, Stanford won the day with three 5-star recruits with the Bruins right behind them with two five-star players. No other Pac-12 team signed a five-star per Rivals. USC won the haul among the four-star recruits with 17 followed by Oregon’s nine.

Player recruiting rankings vary from one site to the next giving another opportunity to evaluate a prospect and respective class. A three-star player on one site maybe a four-star on another further shaking up the final standings. The following is an overview of how each team was positioned by both 247Sports and Rivals on the Monday before National Signing Day and how they ended.
