Penn State Lands 4-Star Philadelphia DT Karamo Dioubate

Penn State has put together an impressive 2015 recruiting class to date with a consensus Top 10 class. The outstanding class got a little bit better on Sunday with the commitment of defensive tackle Karamo Dioubate.

Dioubate is an offensive line mover listed at 6’3”, 280 pounds. In 2014 he posted 23 sacks helping Philadelphia’s Prep Charter to a 10-1-1 record as a two-way player. College recruiters liked what they saw in the 4-star talent with 25 schools extending offers hoping to bring his defensive skills to their campuses.

In late July, Dioubate openly discussed some of the programs holding his recruiting interest that included Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State. Some of the other schools to extend offers include Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, Maryland, UCLA, Tennessee, Arizona State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Nebraska.

Penn State has pulled recruits from 10 different states but more importantly have done a great job of wrapping up wanted in-state talent. Head coach James Franklin has accepted verbal commitments from 4-star offensive linemen Connor McGovern (Lake Lehman Senior) and Michal Menet (Exeter Township Senior), 3-star linebacker Shaka Toney (Imhotep Institute Charter), 4-star running back Miles Sanders (Woodland Hills), and Dioubate. Of the 19 verbal commitments PSU has landed six are defensive linemen.
