College football is won in the trenches, and finding top offensive linemen to keep a quarterback’s jersey clean while blowing open holes for running backs is not the easiest to come by along the recruiting trail. When a player with collegiate experience and time spent in a next level strength and conditioning program becomes available, college coaches sprint like an Olympian to the phones to make a connection. Of the seven former four-star linemen to hit the NCAA Transfer Portal, only three are still exploring their options.

As the list expands and contracts, a big focus will be on the two offensive tackles and one guard with four-star recruiting status tagged to their high school playing days, and all three are out of the ACC; Marcus Minor (Maryland), Triston Miller (UNC), and Doug Nester (V Tech).

Keeping with the ACC, there is a heavy, no pun intended, shift within the conference among offensive linemen. So far, 11 linemen from the conference have hit the portal, three from Virginia Tech and two each from North Carolina, Florida State, and Georgia Tech.

As Oklahoma State has lost three, they have been active bringing in two; center Danny Godlevske from Miami-Ohio and tackle Chandler Anthony off the North Texas roster.

There are currently 17 former three-star recruits from Power 5 Conference programs fielding pitches ready to help make an impact in a different uniform.
