One of our very own Recruiting News Gurus, a.k.a. Ryan Wright, appeared on the “Out of Bounds” college football show on ESPN radio station 105.9 in Mississippi hosted by Jake Wimberly on Thursday morning. The topic of conversation was the recent revelations about the Ole Miss violations with a specific focus on if the program misled recruits ahead of National Signing Day about the severity and/or number of possible violations the NCAA was investigating.

The source of interest came from a RecruitingNewsGuru.com article titled “Hugh Freeze Era Reportedly Bigger Part of Violations with Ole Miss Football Program.” Within the piece, Class of 2016 Manvel High School running back D’Vaughn Pennamon was quoted from a previous RNG interview stating that he was told “there were five football violations but the violations happened before Coach (Hugh) Freeze (head coach) was there.” After NSD, an AP source revealed that of the 28 violations Ole Miss has allegedly committed, 13 are against the football program with nine of those occurring during the Hugh Freeze era.
