A top five has more less turned into a top four with a couple of serious contenders for Eddy Pierre-Louis (6-3.5, 320). The four-star offensive lineman took his 55 offers down to Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M, and UCF on Sept. 3. Official visits to Miami and Oregon have been possibilities but only Oklahoma and UCF have been able to get the Tampa Catholic (Fla.) talent on campus.

The Sooners were expecting Pierre-Louis over the weekend, but the trip was cancelled leaving college football recruiting fans wondering.

The Knights officially hosted Pierre-Louis on June 2 and most recently had him in the Bounce House on Sept. 30 for the Baylor game.

UCF spent Saturday in Norman squaring off against the Sooners. Pierre-Louis spoke about missing the game, “Some things came up, I wasn’t able to go,” Pierre-Louis stated.

Asked if he will reschedule the trip, Pierre-Louis replied, “Yes, sir. I am trying to go in November.”

The schedule ahead for the four-star remains clear for now.

“No, I haven’t scheduled any other visits,” Pierre-Louis shared.

Asked which teams are pushing to get him on campus, Pierre-Louis stated, “Oregon, Miami, and Oklahoma.”

Letting him know he is a priority in the 2024 class, two programs have made the trip to Florida to see Pierre-Louis in action.

“Oklahoma and Oregon came to see me play last week,” Pierre-Louis said. “Coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh (Oklahoma) and coach (A’lique) Terry (Oregon).”

Pierre-Louis gave a quick rundown on the four programs occupying the vast majority of his recruiting attention.

UCF: “They are pretty high on my list. They fought hard against OU. I like the relationship with the coaching staff, we talk almost every week.”

Oklahoma: “They are high too. They keep winning. They have been doing their thing on and off the field. I see their coaching staff; they are doing a good job developing their players.”

Oregon: “I am high with them as well. We talk every week. Coach Terry (OL) makes sure I am good. He helps me out with my film making sure I am doing what I need to do.”

Miami: “They are not too far from home, and they have done well. Their offensive line has done a good job; they are one of the top offensive lines in the country.”

A commitment date has not been set yet for Pierre-Louis.

The Sooners officially hosted Pierre-Louis on June 9.
