Stallions linebacker/defensive end Tim Newman is back at it on the field in 2015 after a terrific junior season. San Juan Hills is off to a hot 4-0 start only allowing San Clemente to get within 14 points in the final score (34-20) with Newman helping lead the way on defense.

Newman, 6’2”, 230 pounds, played defensive end last year coming up with 81 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, and 14 quarterback hurries. This season he is playing middle linebacker showing he can still stuff the run, get after the quarterback, and bully offensive lineman out of the hole for a big stop.

Playing in parts of four games due to the lopsided victories, Newman has 30 tackles, 3 quarterback hurries, a sack, 5 tackles for a loss, and a forced fumble.

Newman’s highlight reel shows his brute strength taking on linemen and his hard hitting knocking opposing ball carriers on their backside quickly.

Schools showing interest in the California native include San Jose State, University of San Diego, Montana, Cal Poly, Brown, Dartmouth, UC Davis, Montana State, Northern Arizona, and San Diego State.
