SMU Mustangs Add In-State 2017 Houston DE Harrison Loveless

The Mustangs jumped on another in-state talent early in the recruiting process landing emerging Cypress Ranch defensive end Harrison Loveless.

Loveless was a big contributor to Cypress Ranch’s 10-2 season in 2015. The Mustangs collected 25 tackles from their 6’3”, 258 pound, end along with seven tackles for a loss, one sack, and three fumble recoveries.

Recruiting for Loveless had not taken off just yet. He had reported offers from Houston and Texas State before committing to SMU. Loveless made his announcement via Twitter posting “PonyUp” along with a statement:

The Mustangs now have seven verbal commitments to their 2017 class. All seven players are in-state products.
