Saint John Bosco continued their overpowering style of play on offense and defense improving to 4-0 on the season with a 55-7 win over Crespi Friday night.

Braves’ quarterback Quentin Davis continued his hot hand hitting 14-of-19 passes for 250 yards with three touchdowns in limited play. Davis connected on touchdown passes of 54, 38, and 31 yards with his first strike landing with Devin Fleming. Fleming had the bulk of Davis’ yards and receptions with the duo teaming up seven times for 128 yards.

Bosco’s defense was on point limiting the Celts to six first downs for the game. Crespi’s only score of the game came on a 12-yard Anthony Booker run. Miles Anderson was the leading rusher for the Encino squad finishing with 38 yards on 11 totes.

Washington running back commit Sean McGrew picked up big yards in limited action covering 71 yards, which included a 31-yard touchdown, on just seven carries for the Braves.

Next week Bosco (Bellfower, CA) travels to St. Peter’s Prep (NJ) in Jersey City for an interesting showdown. St. Peter’s Prep is 1-1 on the season with a 47-14 loss to another top national program, Bergen Catholic. Bergen plays IMG Academy on Saturday.

The load does not lighten for Crespi next week with a trip to Mission Hills to face 4-0 Alemany.
