Tennessee adds Junior College CB Desmond Henderson to 2016 Recruiting Class

The Volunteers added a much needed experienced cornerback to their 2016 recruiting class on Thursday receiving a verbal commitment from Desmond Henderson.
Despite having a really nice freshman season for Dodge City Community College, Henderson (6’1”, 180) was still under the radar after coming up with 46 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, eight pass breakups, and two interceptions in 2014.
Henderson, who came out of James F. Byrnes High School in South Carolina, has offers from Utah State, UAB, North Texas, and Colorado State.
The commitment to Tennessee became official with a post on Twitter reading, “Aye I’m too pumped to announce my commitment to the University of Tennesee (sic)! #GoVolunteers.”
Henderson is the second cornerback Tennessee has added to their 2016 recruiting class and second player from Dodge City joining Marquill Osborne in the secondary and receiver Jeff George from Dodge City.
