Tennessee appears to have their 2017 recruiting class locked and loaded securing their 25th commitment on Thursday in Louisiana 4-star (Rivals) cornerback Terrell Bailey.

Bailey has John Ehret High School off to a 2-0 start this season but made his mark on the recruiting trail helping the Patriots to a 12-3 season a year ago that included a run to the 5A state title game.

The 6-0, 175 pound, cover corner was a highly recruited prospect throughout the south and southeast pushing 20 scholarship offers before his commitment. During the spring, Bailey listed Texas A&M as his leader but that did not slow down the Volunteers recruiting efforts. Tennessee bested offers from Mississippi State, Kansas State, Arkansas, Arizona State, Louisiana Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Arizona for Bailey’s commitment.

Bailey posted his commitment on Twitter writing, “Blessed to announce that I am committed to the University of Tennessee!! #GBO #Vols #Lockdown.”

If Tennessee’s commitment list stays intact, Tennessee will have added six recruits on defense rated as four-star players. Bailey joins CJ Cotman, Breyon Gaddy, Kivon Bennett, LaTrell Bumphus, and Maleik Gray.

Rivals ranks Tennessee’s recruiting class No. 8 in the nation while 247Sports has the Vols at No. 12.
