Texas A&M adds 3-Star In-State 2017 DE Ondario Robinson

The Aggies pushed closer to a complete 2017 recruiting class on Friday with the announced verbal commitment of defensive end Ondario Robinson.
Robinson started jumping on recruiting boards after a junior campaign that included time on both sides of the ball with Hutto High School. The standout Hippo caught one pass for a 12-yard score and came up with 72 total tackles, 41 solo, along with eight sacks, a fumble recovery, and seven pass deflections.
The Aggies started taking the recruiting process with Robinson seriously over the spring evaluation period offering the 6-3.5, 236 pound, prospect in May. Other teams to offers includes Baylor, Georgia, Missouri, Houston, Arizona State, Colorado, SMU, Cal, Oklahoma State, Texas, and Oklahoma.
Robinson made his decision after Hutton topped Elgin 37-34 Friday night surrounded by family and his teammates. The Hippos are off to a 3-2 record against Texas 5A competition this season.
Rivals ranks the Aggies 2017 class No. 20 overall while 247Sports has them as the No. 13 overall class and No. 6 in the SEC.
