Texas A&M Lands Class of 2016 WR/QB Moses Reynolds from John Jay High School

The Aggies had a blistering June on the recruiting trail picking up six verbal commitments but had tapered off since. With Texas A&M winning and slowing gaining recognition as a SEC West and national title contender, the recruiting interest is picking back up. In August the Aggies landed running back Rakeem Boyd and in September added defensive end Justin Madubuike. On Monday A&M went into San Antonio to land John Jay High School QB/WR Moses Reynolds.
Reynolds, 6’2”, 185 pounds, is the quarterback for the Mustangs but is expected to line up as a wide receiver at the next level. When under center Reynolds is a dual-threat passing for 1,416 yards with 11 touchdowns as a junior and adding another 796 yards on the ground with 11 additional scores. In six games, the senior has already rushed for 1,510 yards with 22 touchdowns while passing for 1,248 yards with 12 more scores.
Colleges around the country have seen the versatility Reynolds could bring to their roster with 15 programs extending offers. Some of the programs include Cal, Houston, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Purdue, North Texas, Navy, Kansas, TCU, and Baylor among others.
Reynolds made the commitment official posting his decision on Twitter writing, “I’ve decided to commit to Texas A&M #GigEm.”
The Aggies had a little help adding Moses to their 2016 class, his older brother Josh Reynolds set a school record for touchdown receptions in 2014 with 13 scores.
A&M now has 16 verbal commitments to their 2016 class with a heavy emphasis so far on the offensive side of the ball. Of the 16 recruits, 10 are expected to line up with the offense.
