The Aggies are off to a hot start on the collegiate gridiron in 2015 and added another highly prized recruit to their 2016 recruiting class on Friday to keep the future looking bright when defensive end Justin Madubuike verbally committed.

Madubuike is one of the more highly recruited players in the nation in the neighborhood of 30 Division-I scholarship offers. The full court press for the McKinney North star began in 2013 when he tallied 69 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss along with five sacks. The fervor for his committed grew during his junior season when he improved upon his stats with 75 tackles, 35 tackles for a loss, and 16.5 sacks.

The 6’5”, 245 pound, offensive buster made the rounds in the offseason visiting several in-state schools including Texas, TCU, and Baylor but settled on Texas A&M after an Aug. 6 unofficial visit.

Texas A&M pulled the McKinney area native over offers from Alabama, Baylor, Auburn, USC, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, Ole Miss, TCU, and Michigan State among others.

The Bulldogs posted an 11-3 mark in 2014 and are off to a 3-0 record in 2015 with a bye this week before returning to action on Sept. 25 against Wylie East.

The Aggies now have 15 verbal commitments with a heavy emphasis on offense. Of the 15 committed only six are slated for the defensive side of the ball in the 2016 recruiting class.
