Deep in the heart of Texas at North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Coryon Francis is patrolling the Panthers secondary the same way lawmen patrolled the Old West. The 6’1”, 170-pound, lockdown defender has made a name for himself by taking away one half of the field. Through the first four games of 2020, Francis has six tackles and one interception while North Crowley has started 3-1.

Francis does a great in man coverage and reading opposing offenses. He also has tremendous speed and athleticism in coverage. The Class of 2021 recruit currently has several college football offers from teams like Navy and Texas Southern while also drawing interest from Missouri and Texas Tech.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru, I sat down with Coryon to talk about his senior season at North Crowley and get an update on his recruiting process.

Interview

Coryon, how would you grade your individual performance on the field so far in 2020?

My feet, hips, and technique.

What kind of defensive scheme does North Crowley?

We run a 3-4 scheme.

How do your skills translate to this scheme?

The game against Euless Trinity is basically for the district championship. And to be the best you have to take down the best.

Continue to make history and to make my family, coaches, and teammates proud. I want them to know their sacrifices didn’t go in vain.

What is your GPA?

3.0.
