The Lonestar State is loaded with talented high school football recruits, and one of the next star prospects who will make their mark at the collegiate level is Bogata’s Rivercrest High School offensive tackle Cole Carson.

On April 22, Carson made one of the biggest decisions in his life by committing to the University of Arkansas. On a post to his Twitter page the three-star rated recruit wrote, “I’ve thought, prayed and sought the advice of my family and decided to make my decision on where to further my athletic and academic future: I have decided to commit to the University of Arkansas.”

Throughout his recruiting process, the Rivercrest big man received 22 college offers choosing Arkansas over other big-time programs including Baylor and Auburn.

The 6’5”, 285-pound, big man has the ability to play all three positions on the offensive line and has tremendous run blocking ability.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Cole to talk about his recent commitment to Arkansas and talk about his career at Rivercrest High School.
