Junior Preston Alford is a jack of all trades for Dripping Springs High School (4-1). The young athlete is featured at running back, quarterback, and wide receiver. At 6-0, 190-pounds, Alford is a playmaker using elusive speed, footwork, and athleticism to break tackles and blow away Texas 5A competition. He’s used those talents becoming the team’s leading rusher with 574 yards and eight touchdowns while contributing 137 yards off 18 receptions with two more scores in the passing attack. On defense, he’s added 15 tackles and on special teams he’s taken back two kicks for 61 yards.

The Class of 2022 prospect currently has an offer from Eastern Kentucky and is drawing interest from several Ivy League schools along with New Mexico.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Preston to talk about his junior season and get an update on his recruiting process.
