Texas A&M gets Massive Mississippi JUCO DE Tyree Owens

The Aggies added a potential immediate impact player to their 2017 recruiting class on Saturday when sophomore Copiah-Lincoln Community College defensive end Tyree Owens pledged to Texas A&M.
Owens was one of the top defensive ends in the nation coming out of Oviedo High School. The Florida talent signed with West Virginia but was dismissed from the team after an altercation in a bar.
Copiah-Lincoln has started the 2015 season 3-2 with Owens part of a squad only allowing 14 points per contest. The 6-5, 280 to 295 pound, lineman is credited with three tackles in four games which includes two sacks.
The Aggies fought off offers from top schools like USC, Houston, Alabama, Mississippi State, Central Florida, South Carolina, Southern Miss, Kentucky, and Auburn for his commitment. Owens posted his commitment on Twitter writing, “Blessed to say that I have finally found my next home! I’m committed to TAMU! #TAMU #Goaggies #GigEm #GigEmGang17.”
A&M now has the No. 10 overall ranked 2017 recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports, which is No. 4 overall in the SEC.
