Top 5 Uncommitted High School Recruits from the Washington D.C. Area

Washington D.C. produces talented college football recruits every year and the Class of 2016 is no different as high school athletes from our nation’s capital will go out and play college football all over the country next season.

Some notable football players to come out of our nation’s capital, thrive at the college level and make it in the NFL are former quarterback Byron Leftwich, former Philadelphia Eagles Brian Westbrook, and former Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.

Many of the top recruits in the area have already committed including Bullis Quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr (Maryland), Dematha offensive lineman Terrance Davis (Maryland) and Dematha defensive end Shane Simmons (Penn State).

However there many top recruits in the Washington D.C. area that are still weighing all their options before making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. These athletes are being looked at by college teams every day and have about four weeks before National Signing Day on Feb. 3 to pick their college of choice.

Terrell Hall

6’5”, 250 pounds

Defensive End

St. John’s College High School, Washington DC

32 offers but on Nov. 27 announced his Top 10 schools Including Alabama, Arizona State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M

Decommitted from Ohio State on Aug. 3

Has great quickness and body control to explode past offensive lineman. Also uses his impressive athleticism and change of direction ability to bring down ball carriers. Has amazing speed with a 4.68 in the 40-yard dash. Also has the unique ability to drop into coverage.

Jauan Williams

6’7”, 303 pounds

Offensive Tackle

Archbishop Carroll, Washington DC

41 offers including Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, and Oklahoma

Has great intensity and a high motor which he uses to battle defenders until the whistle.  Also has very good lateral movement, length, and footwork. He is an impressive prospect and will thrive by learning more at the college level.

Aaron Hansford

6’2”, 210 pounds

Linebacker

St. John’s College High School, Washington DC

16 offers but on December 10 announced his top ten list including Duke, Maryland, Michigan State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, UCLA

Has great speed and acceleration which he uses to close in on ball carriers and deliver big hits. Also has good athleticism and can change direction easily. His instincts are above average and he has the ability to cover opponents down field.

Keith Simms

6’3”, 225 pounds

Linebacker

Landon School, Bethesda (MD)

37 offers including North Carolina, Maryland, Oregon, and Virginia Tech

Has great athleticism to play all over field including rushing the quarterback or dropping back into coverage. Also has good balance and can change direction easily to track down ball carriers. Has tremendous lateral movement. Runs a 4.65 in the 40-yard dash.

Ramar Williams

6’1”, 180 pounds

Quarterback

Bishop McNamara, District Heights (MD)

Eight offers from Air Force, Army, East Carolina, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Old Dominion, and Temple

Runs the 40-yard dash in 4.60 seconds. Uses his breakout speed to escape out of the backfield and gain yards using his legs. Has great ability to throw on the run and also has tremendous accuracy as he can sling the ball all over the field. His throws have some zip behind them as the ball gets to his receivers in a hurry.
