UCLA Adds Area 3-Star OT Alex Akingbulu to 2016 Recruiting Class

The Bruins had a nice Thanksgiving adding a third offensive line commitment in Alex Akingbulu.
Akingbulu, though undersized at 6’5”, 260 pounds, is highly regarded with 12 scholarship offers on the table. The Narbonne High School standout had narrowed his list of schools down to three, Cal, Utah, and UCLA days before his announcement. Other top schools offering included Arizona State, Boston College, Washington State, UNLV, Oregon State, Colorado State, Hawaii, Michigan, and Tennessee.
The recruiting win was big for UCLA coming off an Akingbulu official visit to Utah. The Class of 2016 recruit visited Cal on Oct. 31 and took an unofficial visit to Michigan in late April.
UCLA now has 21 verbal commitments to their 2016 class with 10 of those players slated to play offense, three are special teams players and eight on defense.
