UCLA Adds Chaffey JUCO OT Ronald Rudd to 2017 Class

The Bruins picked up their fourth verbal commitment to their 2017 recruiting class on Monday landing big offensive tackle Ronald Rudd.

The commitment for UCLA was a big win landing the 6’7”, 305 pound, tackle over 16 other offers. Other teams hoping to lure Rudd their way with a scholarship offer included Baylor, Kansas State, Arizona State, Washington State, SMU, Purdue, San Diego State, Missouri, Memphis, Iowa State, Louisville, and Colorado among others.

The time from offer to commitment was quick for Rudd. The Bruins offered Rudd on June 26 landing his commitment the next day. Rudd posted his announcement on Twitter reading, “I’m committing” followed by a statement:

The Bruins now have two defensive ends and two offensive linemen committed to their 2017 class.
