Jamir Jones is ending his high school football career in style. The 6’4”, 225 pound, talent won a New York High School Football State Championship leading Aquinas Institute to a perfect 13-0 record during his senior year coming up with 98 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, 18 quarterback hurries, 10 pass breakups, 6.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery playing linebacker and pulled in 43 passes for 822 yards with nine touchdowns scored doubling at tight end after playing quarterback in the Wildcat offense during his junior campaign.

In addition to being a verbal commitment to Notre Dame, Jones is also a Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl invitee. Jones has been mixing it up over the last week at Fullerton College in California in preparation for the all-star game as a member of the East squad going against some of the top talent in the 2016 recruiting class. I caught up with Jamir after the East squad’s final walk-through before Sunday’s big game at the StubHub Center getting an inside scoop about his time in California and a recruiting news update.
