The days of Darren Hall being overlooked are quickly becoming a thing of the past, but his complete deserved credit still lays ahead. The class of 2017 defensive back recruit is quickly ascending college boards making him a rising talent in California.

Hall had a breakout season in 2015 coming up with 48 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, broke-up three passes, got a pick, and even blocked a punt. As the season wore on, the 5’11”, 162 pound, talent started to emerge as a lockdown kind of corner perhaps playing his best in the playoffs limiting his receivers to two catches for 20 yards over a two-game span. The solid ball skills helped the Cougars advance to the semifinals of the California High School Playoffs posting a 9-4 record.

Colleges are quickly coming around on Hall. Hawaii was his first offer with Utah, Nevada, and on Friday Colorado State offering. A lot of teams are laying the groundwork to more offers with Washington State inviting him up for their upcoming Junior Day and Boise State, Columbia, Northern Arizona, and BYU all showing different levels of interest.

In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Hall at the Nike Los Angeles regional opening to get an update on his offseason schedule and the latest news on his recruitment.
