Virginia Hauls in Massive 2017 Florida OT Ryan Swoboda

The Cavaliers are quietly making a movement that looks to make a lot of noise for years to come. Virginia’s 2017 class keeps adding key recruits picking up literally their biggest so far on Monday when offensive tackle Ryan Swoboda pledged.

Swoboda is a massive 6-10, 270 pound, raw talent. The Windermere Prep standout wins battles on the field with determination and leverage with a lot of upside to become a standout at the next level.

The Florida talent picked the Cavaliers over offers from South Florida and Dartmouth while drawing interest from teams like Kentucky, Central Florida, and North Carolina State. Virginia fans found out about Swoboda’s commitment via Twitter with a post reading “#HoosRising” followed by a statement:

The Cavs hosted Swoboda over the weekend helping seal the deal.

Virginia now has 21 verbal commitments ranked No. 39 in the nation by Rivals. 247Sports rates the class No. 37 in the nation, No. 9 overall in the ACC. The Cavs now have four offensive line commits: Tyler Fannin (Hoschton, GA, Chris Glasser (Solon, OH), Ryan Nelson (Buena Park, CA), and Swoboda.
