Interview

Kayshon, how did fall camp with the Tigers go?

“It was good.”

How is the team looking?

“We are looking good, we have seven D-I players on our team. We are handling our business on the field and doing our jobs. Together, we will do big things.”

Have you guys scrimmaged anyone during camp?

“We scrimmaged Ville Platte. It was a good scrimmage.

Have you guys started preparing for Catholic (New Iberia) yet?

“Yeah. We started going throughout our offense for the game going against their defense and going through their offense against our defense.”

Where are you seeing the biggest improvements in your game during camp?

“My route running and my speed are showing the biggest improvements.”

Where all are you lining up this season on the field?

“Receiver, running back, and safety.”

After we last spoke in June, did you attend any college camps?

“I went Arkansas and West Virginia.”

How did the Arkansas camp go?

“It was good. I did what I had to do. After the camp, their coach spoke with me and they offered me.”

Did you get to tour the facilities and the campus then?

“Yes, sir.”

What were some of your thoughts on the campus and facilities?

“It was nice. That was my first time seeing something like that.”

What about West Virginia, how did that camp go?

“It was better than Arkansas in some ways. I went for the camp, they had already offered me, but their coaches wanted to see us.”

What did you like about the West Virginia campus and facilities?

“I liked everything. It was a lot like Arkansas, they have a game room and a theatre room. It was nice.”

Which schools are showing the most interest heading into the season?

“I am receiving the most interest from Arkansas, West Virginia, and LSU.”

How many offers do you have now?

“I have 11 or 12 offers.”

Which programs were the last couple to offer you?

“West Virginia, Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri.”

Do you have any planned unofficial visits set for this fall?

“No, sir. I have none set at this time.”

Kayshon, great catching up with you today. I look forward to covering the season with you going forward.

“Thank you. Me too.”
