The Badgers landed their 18th verbal commitment late Wednesday night when Kendrick Pryor picked Wisconsin over Iowa.

Pryor is a two-way star for Homewood Flossmoor High School in Illinois. The 6’1”, 171 pound, athlete had an interesting recruiting process favoring playing wide receiver at the next level but several schools envisioned Pryor as a cornerback in the collegiate game. The 6’0”, 175 pound, athlete has a solid junior season finishing with 20 receptions for 403 yards with two scores.

The Flossmoor area native has 13 reported offers from schools like Ball State, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Wyoming, Illinois State, Buffalo, and Central Michigan but released a Top Five of Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State, UConn, and Miami (OH) over the summer. After unofficial visits to Miami, Iowa, and Wisconsin, the Badgers wisely switched their offer from cornerback to wide receiver helping land their target.

Pryor made the announcement official on Twitter posting, “I would like to announce that I will be continuing my football career at the University of Wisconsin #badgers (sic).”
