Oceans 11 style recruiting heists do not happen often, but when they do, it is eye opening. On Monday, Wyoming went into California’s fertile recruiting grounds stealing away three-star 2020 offensive lineman Nofoafia Tulafono in impressive fashion from Pac-12 and Mountain West programs.

Tulafono worked his way into three-star recruiting status as a two-way performer for Oak Hills High School. Staring at both guard and defensive tackle, Tulafono ended his junior season pulling in All-League and All-CIF offensive and defensive lineman honors. The 6-3, 305-pound, talent received most of his attention for his work on the offensive line picking up 11 total reported offers before his commitment.

With offers on the table from Arizona, BYU, Hawaii, Jacksonville, Montana State, Morgan State, New Mexico, North Texas, UNLV, UTEP, and Wyoming, and just two days after his mother’s birthday and visit to Laramie, Tulafono verbally committed to the Cowboys announcing his intent on Twitter:

Tulafono is the third commitment to the Cowboys’ 2020 class joining fellow guard Kohl Herbolsheimer (NE) and three-star St. Bonaventure quarterback Gavin Beerup (CA).
