The looks and offers have started to pour in for the Phoebus High School standout. The three-star recruit has eight offers on the table with a handful of visits planned over the coming months.

In an RNG return to the Lab, Stevenson breaks down his offseason workouts with an update on his recruiting options.

Interview

Trevion, you turned in a big season on the field in 2019. How do you feel it went in your own words?

“I feel like it went pretty well. Being a junior, it went well. I improved a lot from my sophomore year.”

You were a constant presence in the opposition’s backfield, especially on passing downs. What were you doing so well as a pass rusher last season that allowed you to create so much chaos?

“Sacks. I was getting into the backfield. I had 15 sacks and 16 tackles for a loss.”

Which moves were you using to get into the backfield?

“Club and rip, push and pull, getting low, a spin, and stuff like that.”

How did your run game defense come along as an end?

“It went pretty well. I was getting up field and sealing the edge.”

If we were to put on game reel of your best game last season which game are we watching?

“The Hampton game.”

Why the Hampton game?

“Shoot, I had four sacks and I think I had a forced fumble.”

Are you doing anything differently on the field in 2020?

“Yes. This season I am playing some offense at the tight end, everything on defense will stay the same.”

Which parts of your game are you working on this offseason?

“I am working on getting faster, working on my hands and having more power.”

Have you maxed out in the weight room lately?

“My bench is 305 and my power clean is 250.”

On your upcoming schedule, do you have any camps listed?

“Yes, sir. I am competing at an Under Armour and a Rivals camp.”

Going into recruiting, which schools are showing interest but have not offered yet?

“Virginia Tech, Florida, Wake Forest, East Carolina, and UVA (Virginia).”

How many offers are you holding now?

“Eight.”

Stevenson’s Offer Sheet: Austin Peay, Charlotte, Eastern Kentucky, Liberty, Louisiana-Lafayette, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, and Youngstown State

Over the last few months have you taken any recruiting visits?

“I have been to an Alabama Junior Day, ODU (Old Dominion) by myself, a UVA Junior Day, and I went on a Florida visit by myself.”

How did the UVA trip go?

“It was pretty good. I loved the atmosphere there and how the coaches are. I like how (DC) Coach Pop (Kelly Poppinga) coaches.”

And the Alabama visit, how did that go?

“It went great. Coach (Charles) Huff (RB) is a great coach and so is Coach (Nick) Saban (head coach).”

Last one; how did the Florida visit turn out?

“It went pretty good as well. I loved the atmosphere at that school as well.”

Are you taking any visits coming up?

“Yes, sir. I am going to James Madison, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse.”

Trevion, with all that you have going on, I’m glad we got some time in today. Wishing you success with your workouts and upcoming visits.

“Thank you.”
