Aeneaus Lemay had a breakout campaign during the regular season for West Feliciana. The junior wideout caught 35 passes for 691 yards with nine touchdowns and is now ready to make even more big plays as the postseason kicks off next week. The Saints finished the regular season 4-4 and are anxiously awaiting to find out who their first-round opponent will be.

The 5’10”, 175-pound, speedster has blazing speed and great athleticism to break tackles and run away from his competition. Lemay also has good footwork and field awareness. The Class of 2022 prospect currently has one college offer and is also drawing interest from several big-time programs including Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Aeneaus to talk about his junior season, his preparations for the playoffs and get an update about his recruiting process.

Interview

How would you grade your individual performance during the regular season?

I feel I did pretty well but it could have been better.

What would you say was your biggest game and why?

My biggest game was Week 6 against Mentorship Academy, because my teammates put me in a great position to dominate.

What are your strengths on the football field?

My strengths on the football field are being able to get my team in position to score any time I have too.

What is one area of your game that you’ve seen the most improvement in since the start of the regular season?

Playing harder for longer. I play till the whistle blows.

What is your fastest 40-yard dash time?

What kind of offense does your high school run?

We run a spread.

How do your skills translate to this offense?

I help in any way possible, do whatever my team needs me to do.

Is there an NFL player that you try to model your game after?

Not really because at the end of the day I am my own self and modeling after someone else doesn’t help me much.

How would you describe what kind of player you are?

I lead by example.

How would you describe what kind of teammate you are?

I’m a team player and do whatever they need.

What is your mindset as the playoffs kick off next week?

Just take it one play at a time.

Do you play any other sports in high school?

I run track.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?

History, because my dad used to teach it.

What is your GPA?

2.8.

Do you have any college offers?

South Alabama.

Are there anymore colleges showing interest in you?

Tulane, Army, Houston, Texas A&M, Arizona, Louisiana-Lafayette, and Mississippi State.

Thank you for your time and good luck in the playoffs.
