Interview

Chance, over back-to-back weekends you have visited Baylor and now the Texas Longhorns. How did your visit with Texas go?

“It was a pretty good visit?

What all did you do while you were on campus in Austin?

“Coach (Tom) Herman (head coach) went over his resume and spoke about how he coaches his players. After that we spoke with some of the players and then went down on the field. After that we ate lunch and then I talked to their quarterback coach, Coach (Tim) Beck for a little bit.”

What all did you talk to Coach Beck about then?

“They were drawing plays and coverages up on the board. Coach Beck showed us how he wants his quarterbacks to read and react to plays. His goal is to get us ready for the NFL.”

Did the Texas staff talk to you about where you are at on their recruiting board?

“They said they would visit me this spring at practice to watch me throw and they would go from there. Coach Beck does not know me that well yet and wants to learn more about me.”

Who went with you on your Saturday visit to Texas?

“My parents.”

Did they like the visit?

“Yes. I think they liked it.”

What was your overall impression of the campus and facilities?

“They coaches told us that the facilities are being rebuilt to be the program everyone wants to be.”

Did you make any plans to visit Austin again?

“Yes, sir. I will go back there for a spring practice.”

Did the coaches talk about you attending a camp there this summer?

“Yes, sir. They asked me to come back for a camp so they can see more of me and work directly with me.”

Did the coaches talk about anything they would like to see you work on this off-season before their camp or before they see you at school this spring?

“No, sir.”

Do you have any visits planned coming up?

“No, sir.”

Chance, congratulations on your visit to Texas and on all of your new offers. Thank you for your time today.

“Thank you.”
